dr hab. Tibor Berta

Tibor Berta is an Associate Professor at the Department of Hispanic Studies, University of Szeged, Hungary. He graduated in Hispanic and Portuguese Philology at the University Eötvös Loránd, Budapest (1993) and received his PhD (2002) and habilitation (2018) from the same institution. His research interests include teaching Spanish as a foreign language and the historical-comparative morphosyntax of the Ibero-Romance languages. He carried out various research projects on the historical morphosyntax of the verb sponsored by the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (2003-2006 and 2008-2011). His monograph Clíticos e infinitvo. Contribución a la historia de la promoción de clíticos en español y portugués was published in 2003. His research on the evolution of verbal periphrases in Spanish and Portuguese was awarded by the curatorship of the Bolyai János Research Scholarship (2004-2007).
