dr ​Jana Pešková

Jana Pešková holds a PhD in Hispanic Philology from Charles University in Prague. She is currently a professor of Spanish Linguistic at the Faculty of Arts of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Czech Republic) where she teaches Morphosyntax, Contrastive Grammar, Text Grammar and Translation of Specialized Texts. Her research activity is oriented, on the one hand, towards Hispanic Linguistics (mode-temporal relations, mechanisms of textual co-reference), and on the other hand, towards Applied Linguistics, especially to contrastive analysis of specialized texts and analysis of legal terminology (LegTerm project). She is head of the Spanish Philology Section of the Department of Romance Languages of the Faculty of Letters of České Budějovice, coordinator of the Erasmus+ ICT project between Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, Peru and České Budějovice, and of the Double Degree project with the University of Salamanca. She is the author of several articles and a monographic work.
